UPDATE Notice:
We have decided to hide the program window when the system is unlocked. So instead of 320x240 Unlock images I would like images to be used as the system wallpaper instead (i.e. corresponding to the same resolutions as the Locked images).
I am updating the appropriate parts of the post.
End UPDATE Notice:
We are currently nearing completion of the initial release of LatteLock, a new FOSS (GPL3) cross-platform net cafe system, which will be put into place in a local shop owned by my friend once it is ready.
The server component is a PHP/MySQL setup that controls the client app which will run on any platform it can be compiled for.
We are developing on Linux of course but will be compiling the client application for Windows as well.
I am requesting submissions of Image sets to include with the system to make it more interesting for others who download it and do not wish to create their own images.
Above is the current not-so-awesome logo I am using for it for now.
If I receive several sets I will make the one I like the best the default set included with the system.
All eligible sets will be offered in an archive separate from the main client and server downloads.
All included sets will be acknowledged in the documentation.
What is needed:
LatteLock Administration web page logo banner
LatteLock workstation unlocked image
LatteLock workstation locked images
Image Details:
Banner Logo Resolution: 468x80
Unlocked Image Resolutions (to be used as the system background): Standard resolutions (normal and widescreen) 640x480 and up (to whatever seems reasonable to you)
Locked Image Resolutions: Standard resolutions (normal and widescreen) 640x480 and up (to whatever seems reasonable to you)
Rules:
Licensing: Images should be licensed
CC-By,
CC-By-Nd, or
CC-By-SA (my personal recommendation) so they can be distributed with the system to all users, including commercial entities (which are the target for the project after all).
Content: Images should be family friendly since they are designed to be used in a public place - 8/80/P rule: If you wouldn't want your 8 year old son/daughter, your 80 year old grandmother, and your Pastor to view it, it's probably not appropriate. :)
Time Limits: NONE! If you find this and submit something that follows the rules, I'll gladly add it and update the documents.
Submission Information:
I prefer full sets to be submitted, however all are welcome.
What to include in your submission:
The Images
The Licensing information
What information (name/handle, website, email, etc) you would like included in the image credits/licensing file, manual, and wherever else I end up putting the credits for the included images
Submitting:
Put the materials in an archive (zip, rar, tgz) and email them to me at ( techiem2 AT gmail DOT com ).
